British Standard 1970:2012

· The British Standard Mark - The current standard 1970:2012 must be marked clearly on the hot water bottle.

How to use and store hot water bottle correctly?

· Do not using boiling water (suggesting better 70 degree water).

· Fill to a maximum of two-thirds capacity or less.

· Expel air from the bottle after filling water

· Screw the stopper sufficiently tight to ensure that there is no leakage.

· DO NOT let the bottle come into direct contact with skin whilst hot.

· DO NOT use with infants or persons sensitive to heat(over tiredness, 

medicines, alcohol, illness, etc. can impair sensitivity to heat).

Hot water bottle is not suitable for children under 36 months due to  

      the risks of overheating.

· Under no circumstance should the hot water bottle be used as a   

cushion and be sat on.

· DO NOT fill using water from the domestic hot water system as this

can considerably shorten the life of the hot water bottle.

· Prevent contact with hot surfaces.

· Prevent contact with oil or grease.

· When not in use, drain completely and keep, with the stopper

removed, in a cool, dry, dark place. Prevent exposure to sunlight.

· DO NOT place anything on top of the bottle during storage.

· DO NOT damage the bottle with something sharp

When buying a rubber hot water bottle you should have a feel the product. A product with a high rubber content means that the bottle is with high quality.The more rubbery and soft feel a hot water bottle indicates a higher rubber content. .
